Abstract
Pekapuran river is tocated in the Pekapuran Village, Banjarmasin. The condition of thisriver deserves special attention, because it has been contaminated by rubbish, human faeces, pollutants and heavy metals (Fe). One of alternative that can be used in water treatment to recovery the quality of river water before use by people is through the creation of appropriate technology using materials bioadsorbens are numerous in the area and not used such as water hyacinth, kepok banana and peels, bagasse, coconut fiberr Parameters tested in this study are TS5, pH, and Fe. Measurement results before tregcmertr shorrs that TSS levets (1.46.3 mg / L) were above standards, while the pH (6.7) and Fe {0-02304787 mg I L} does not exceed the quality standards but processing continues by improve the quality of raw water. The measurement results after treatment showed that the levels of TSS (78.6 mg / L) and Fe (0.00551197mg / L) are decreased, while the acidity increased to 5.68. ln general, appropriate technology can be use as water treatment Pekapuran River Banjarmasin because it can improve the quality of the test parcmeters so that the treated water can be used for daily activities.
